Formatting Phone Number Fields

To format a phone number field, double click on the field in the form designer to edit its properties:

Next, click the "Advanced" button at the bottom of the edit area to view the forms advanced options:

And finally, enter the desired input mask into the "Input Mask" field:

The any character that is not number nine ( 9 ) will be interpreted as literal meaning the user will not be able to change that information. Example:

(999) 999-9999 Forces the user to enter (123) 456-7890

999.999.9999 Forces the user to enter 123.456.7890

The user will not be able to enter their phone number unless it conforms to the specified mask.
